Content Specialist

TFL is searching for a Content Specialist to join our Marketing team. This position will work closely with various departments within the organization and is directly responsible for the creation of clear and engaging copy for all TFL primary audiences, including but not limited to, our employees, business partners, stakeholders, clients and customers, with a focus on email, social, web copy, blogs, print, etc.

Responsibilities & Job Duties (include, but are not limited to)

  • Analyze trends and collect research by collecting both quantitative and qualitative information to create high-quality strategies and content assets for TFL
  • Contribute to the development of strategies by owning aspects of research, recommendations and documentation
  • Create content (blog posts, white papers, landing page copy, distribution docs, distribution playbooks, social media content, threads, etc.) with specific goals to drive traffic and/or nurture leads
  • Manage and write email campaigns
  • Combine creativity, keyword research, social media research, content research, competitive research and more, to generate strategic content ideas and make recommendations
  • Work closely with graphic designer and marketing team to complete campaigns
  • Help manage the SEO strategy using SEO tools and researching industry trends
  • Research and learn new content strategy ideas and content marketing tools

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-year relevant experience
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects while still working effectively
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Close attention to detail (i.e., near-perfect grammar and strong editing skills)
  • High energy with a growth mindset and curious nature
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to form productive working relationships
  • Writing skills to create engaging, entertaining and educational blog posts that will be published across a diverse range of verticals
  • Landing page and email writing experience
  • Tech savvy and interest in the internet, SEO, digital marketing, media and growth hacking
  • Team oriented and effective working in a collaborative environment, but also able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sports marketing or related industry experience
  • Working knowledge of website content management systems, email marketing platforms, social media management platforms and web analytics solutions
