Nebraska Eyes Another Volleyball Title After Falling Short in 2023

The end of the year is nearing, which means another NCAA Volleyball Championship is even closer.

Tomorrow, the four No. 1 seeds will compete to make it to the final match of the season on Sunday.

At the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, the Pittsburgh Panthers will match up against the Louisville Cardinals and the Penn State Nittany Lions against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

The Panthers and Cardinals, who are ACC rivals, are looking to secure their first championship. Penn State and Nebraska, both in the Big 10, will try for a respective title No. 7 and No. 5.

Nebraska’s head coach, John Cook, is the only of the four head coaches to have won a championship previously. The Huskers lost to Texas in the championship last year.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the average ticket price to watch the final two teams compete for the trophy was $155, with the average to attend Thursday’s matches at $70. Prices may go up for the championship once the teams are decided – tickets spiked for the semifinal matches once the teams were confirmed.

Fans who aren’t able to attend the matches can tune into ESPN on Thursday a 6:30 p.m. ET for the Pitt-Louisville match. The Penn State-Nebraska match will begin 30 minutes after the first match.

Sunday’s championship will take place at 3 p.m. ET and can be watched on ABC.

Next year’s final four and championship matches will be held in Kansas City at the T-Mobile Center.
