The 2025 Ryder Cup Ticket Market Analysis

The Ryder Cup, a biennial team competition, is one of the most celebrated events in golf that pits the best golfers from the United States against Europe. This event is a showcase of national pride and strategic team play that has captured golf fans worldwide for nearly a century. The 2025 Ryder Cup, hosted at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York, will bring the tournament back to U.S. soil, creating an electric home-field atmosphere for American fans. Adding to the excitement, several professional golfers who made cameo appearances in the recent Happy Gilmore 2 film are also set to compete, giving even casual fans an extra reason to tune in.

Ticket Pricing Overview by Round

Practice days remain the most affordable, with Tuesday tickets averaging around $151 and Wednesday about $170, both seeing notable drops over the past month, as Tuesday prices are down more than 40%.

Thursday’s opening matches start to heat up the market with average tickets around $360, but prices have softened sharply, falling by 53% in the last 30 days.

Competition rounds command the highest prices. Friday tickets average roughly $1,213, while Saturday averages $1,057 and is the only day showing a recent uptick, up about 23% over the past week. Sunday tickets close out the event with an average of $915, down about 17% week-over-week.

For superfans, a 3-Day Pass runs about $3,724, and a full-week pass averages roughly $4,777, offering flexibility across the entire tournament despite their premium pricing.

What’s Driving the Increase?

Since the 2023 Ryder Cup, ticket prices have surged. The 2025 edition heads to Bethpage Black, the iconic state-run public course nicknamed the “People’s Country Club”. Its reputation for being both accessible to everyday golfers and extremely difficult sets the stage for an unforgettable spectacle. With the tournament’s prime New York location, you can expect the crowd to be the most electric in Ryder Cup history.

Some of the best players in the world will be teeing up this year: Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas, all of which made cameos in Happy Gilmore 2. Their dual roles as Hollywood cameos and Ryder Cup competitors have amplified the buzz, giving fans of all kinds a reason to watch, and pushing ticket demand and prices higher.
