Top 10 Matchups During Week One of NFL Schedule Release
It’s been just over one week since the NFL released its schedule for the 2023 season and tickets went on sale to the public.
TFL looked at the highest average ticket prices across the league in the first week after the schedule release, and it’s apparent that to attend some games, fans will have to pay a pretty penny to see their favorite teams play.
Despite having an 8-9 record during the 2022-23 season, the New England Patriots’ home game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 10 has the highest average ticket price across the league at $1,212.65.
And while the Eagles’ away game has the highest average ticket price across all matchups so far, it’s the only game of Philadelphia’s that’s included in the top 10.
The Pats on the other hand, are featured twice – the other game is on Dec. 18 against the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, who appear on the list three times. The average ticket price for the Pats-Chiefs game is $660.83, just over half of the Pats-Eagles matchup.
Raiders home games fill out much of the list with the average ticket price for six home games above $580.
The Steelers, Cowboys, Vikings, Jets, Giants and 49ers also only made one appearance in the top 10, the latter of which is a home game. The Packers appeared twice.
