Stanley Cup Final Games More Expensive in Florida
The Florida Panthers won their first game in the Stanley Cup final against the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday at FLA Live Arena with a 3-2 victory.
The Knights lead the Panthers 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
Games 1 and 2, which both took place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, had average ticket prices of $936 and $898, respectively – both lower than the average ticket price of Game 3, which was $1,012.
Game 4, which takes place on Saturday, has an average ticket price of $984.
- Game 5: $1,161
- Game 6: $1,508
- Game 7: $1,160
The Knights recorded a 5-2 win in Game 1 – despite being tied 2-2 going into the third period – and a 7-2 win in Game 2.
Both teams are already making history since neither has won the Stanley Cup before.
But a win might be considered sweeter for the Panthers.
While the Florida team has been a part of the NHL since 1993, it hasn’t been to the Stanley Cup Final since 1996 when it was swept by the Colorado Avalanche.
On the other hand, the Knights’ made the Stanley Cup Final in its inaugural season in 2018 when it lost to the Washington Capitals. It missed the playoffs for the first time in 2021-22, prompting the firing of head coach Pete DeBoer and the hiring of Bruce Cassidy, who was previously at the Boston Bruins.
Game 4 starts at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday.
