AFC, NFC Championship Tickets Compared to CFP Championship
The lead-up to the Super Bowl is shrinking with only two games left before the Big Game – the AFC and NFC Championship.
For the 7th year in a row, the Kansas City Chiefs will compete in the AFC Championship, and for the second year in a row, they’ll be playing the Buffalo Bills. The difference between this year and last? The Chiefs have home field advantage this time. But that doesn’t mean the Bills won’t come to compete – they fell short last year in this exact game, and they’re one of only two teams to beat the Chiefs in the regular season.
Kansas City fans have become accustomed to the dominant post-season, leaving tickets to the game more accessible compared to the NFC Championship.
As of Wednesday morning, get-in prices to the game at Arrowhead started at $330 – that’s just slightly higher than some of the most popular regular season games. It leaves a great opportunity for fans who have yet to see the Chiefs in a postseason, especially as they fight to make history as the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row. The average ticket price to the game landed at $595, staying fairly consistent since Monday morning when the average price was $602.
The average ticket price to the NFC Championship between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders has also remained fairly consistent, but on a higher scale. As of Wednesday morning, the average ticket price was $1,050, just under Monday’s $1,074. The get-in price, however, has dropped from $682 on Monday morning to $563 on Wednesday.
While the prices are on the higher end, they don’t compare to Monday’s College Football Playoff Championship between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. On Monday morning, the get-in price was $2,000 – more than three times higher than the average ticket price to the AFC Championship.
Despite the cost, fans can still expect to pay more than three times the National Championship price for the Super Bowl on Feb. 9 in New Orleans.
