A Special Year in Omaha: What Ticket Prices Reveal About the 2025 College World Series
The 2025 Men’s College World Series is already shaping up to be one for the history books—and not just because it marks the 75th anniversary of college baseball’s grandest stage. For the first time since 1957, none of the eight teams in Omaha were here the previous year, adding a fresh layer of unpredictability and excitement to an already iconic event.

From a ticketing perspective, prices for the opening four games have remained relatively steady, with three of the four matchups showing a slight dip in Average Ticket Price (ATP) in the days leading up to first pitch. According to pricing data from June 10–12, Games 1 through 3 saw ATPs drop gradually—most notably Game 3, which went from $123.29 down to $113.34.
Game 4, however, has bucked that trend—and it’s no mystery why. Featuring traditional powerhouses LSU and Arkansas, ATP for this marquee matchup has climbed from $212.58 to $230.33 over the same span. These are two of the most passionate, well-traveling fan bases in college baseball, and the ticket market has responded accordingly. Arkansas fans are sure to make an appearance, as they are the closest state to Nebraska out of this year’s lineup. LSU fans have a long history of showing up strong in Omaha, and this year is no different.
Meanwhile, Game 1 between Coastal Carolina and Arizona brings a fascinating storyline of its own: a rematch of the 2016 championship series, when Coastal shocked the college baseball world to win its first (and only) national title. Arizona, a four-time champion, last hoisted the trophy in 2012. Despite the historical weight of this matchup, lower ticket prices—dropping from $91.83 to $81.95—can likely be attributed to the early 1:00 p.m. Friday start.
As anticipation builds for this historic tournament, it’s clear the College World Series still commands premium attention—and pricing—especially when powerhouse programs and fan-driven energy collide.
