Chiefs Ticket Sales Highest Since Schedule Release Following Taylor Swift Appearance
Rumors have been swirling since earlier this month that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was dating Taylor Swift after Kelce said on his podcast that he wanted to give Swift a bracelet at her Kansas City show.
Those rumors escalated on Sunday when the “Cruel Summer” singer showed up to Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Chiefs host the Chicago Bears.
Not only did Travis Kelce’s jersey sales and follower count spike after Swift and Kelce were seen together leaving the game, but so did Chiefs’ ticket sales.
Sept. 26 – two days after the game – had the largest number of tickets sold for the next three Chiefs home games since the day after the season’s tickets initially went up for sale in May.
- 10/12: Denver Broncos
- 10/22: Los Angeles Chargers
- 11/20: Philadelphia Eagles
Swift’s film about the Eras Tour comes out Oct. 13 – it reportedly broke AMC’s U.S. record for single-day sales. Her rerecorded 1989 album will come out just two weeks later on Oct. 27, and Taylor will head back on her international tour in November after taking a break… which included her trip to Kansas City.
Her tour began in March and will end in November 2024. Swift announced in August that she would be adding more dates in the U.S. and Canada in October and November of next year.
